this one actually works
El Twister write:
Long story short; this one works. For me the critical parts were that 1) porn sites are actually blocking properly and 2) I can check the visited sites without touching my son's phone. This is expensive enough that if I find a problem that is not promptly corrected, I will update this review.
UPDATE*** Contacted the company because the program was not not working with the pre-payment screen for WiFi service at the hotel we were staying at. They built and sent me a custom version while we were on the phone. This latest update is the same corrected version they sent to me. I am exceptionally pleased with this program and with the company.
Great Browser With Great Features
This app exceeded all of my expectations! The browser itself works just as well as Safari, but with the added bonus of great protection. I no longer have to worry about my family using the internet on my phone - the peace of mind I have now is worth far more than the money spend on this app. In addition to a very useful and bug free browser, the website is very user friendly. Not only can I choose what kind of sites my family can visit, but also keep track of the where they go on the internet. If you have any doubts about this app, I can assure you to put them aside - everything just works! Do yourself and your family a favor - buy this app!
Good attempt. Needs more work.
This is a decent attempt, much better than Safe Eyes Mobile, but not as good as Mobicip.
1. Simple web-based interface for configuration.
2. Faster than Safe Eyes and Mobicip for most pages.
3. Supports WiFi hotspots that need an agreement.
2. Static filtering. You can only allow or block websites. Real-time rating of websites is a must in a web 2.0 world.
3. No tabs. Safe Eyes, though very buggy, had tabs in its very first release.
Bottomline, browser needs a lot of work to be a good replacement for Safari.
